Mid C18th George II period Cuban mahogany oval drop-leaf table of good large scale and proportions.
Raised on cabriole supports onto a pad foot with carved ‘paper-scroll’ detail to knees . Each leaf having a single gate-leg action to provide support when opened.
Entirely constructed from selected dense ,heavy , thick Cuban mahogany of exceptional quality.
Was professionally and sympathetically cleaned and waxed approximately 20 years ago , when the previous owners had caused water marks / damage to the top , retaining a deep rich colour and patina.
Would comfortably seat 6 diners or guests.
