Antique silver Cortebert half hunter pocket watch, 1928.

The watch has a Swiss seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement has been identified as by Cortebert. It is all protected by an inner hinged cover which has a little scratching to the edge.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the three outer covers for Birmingham 1928 with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison, the Birmingham case maker. The case is in good condition. The front has enamel filled Roman numerals surrounding a central lens. The case is in good condition, just a small bruise to the side of the watch.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside, the acrylic lens is in lovely condition (some reflection showing in the photos).

The dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes with a silver single chain 31cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. Also included is a silver fob, hallmarked for 1922. The front of the fob has a rose gold wash with initials. The chain and fob weigh 35g.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
