Burr Walnut Bookcase C.1860

19th century
Description

Mid 19th.c. French burr walnut bookcase display cabinet c.1860. Single glazed door, fitted inside with adjustable plate glass shelves. Six shelves provided, three at 12" depth and three at 8" depth. Plus two drawers in the base. Highly figured burr walnut veneers arranged in symmetrical pattern across the front of the cabinet. Moulded cornice and door surround, carved detail to the door and raised moulding around the glass panel. Oak lined interior and walnut veneered sides. Moulded plinth raised on the original feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied for the door and upper drawer.
