This exquisite and rather rare novelty Edwardian silver stamp case bears the marks of Sydney & Co and is dated Birmingham 1903. It is modelled as a book and the swivel cover is engraved with foliate scrolls surrounding a vacant cartouche. The sides with reeded decorations to emulate the pages of a book. The spine fitted with a suspension loop. The plain back is fully hallmarked.
Gilt interior. Complete with a ''one Shilling'' stamp.
