Description

Beautiful heavily embossed American sterling silver sliding pencil made by Fairchild & Johnson NY.

This partnership existed from 1898-1905. It is marked sterling and the makers Mark FJ, on the opposite side is a blank cartouche. The pencil would appear to have had very little use, the sliding mechanism is quite stiff.
