The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a nine jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case would have been chromium plated but this has worn off the case back, as have the British military markings that would have been there.

The glass lens has light marking but is very acceptable.
The signed dial is in good condition. There is no luminous detail which suggests it was intended for the RAF.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
