The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch has a 17 jewel calibre 283 hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 14,159,244 which dates it back to 1954.
The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs so a good wearable size. The case is gold plated with a thick 80 microns layer of gold.
The inside of the case back has the Omega logo together with the case reference 2498-7 which is correct for the calibre 283 movement.

The winding crown has wear to the plate on the end.
The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial has an aged patina. Original dauphine shaped hands and centre seconds hand.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
