Cast using the traditional lost wax method with several casting anomalies. Notably formation of the rim incomplete and several casting holes, typical of this method of construction.
Rare to have survived, and highly valued tribal piece. Excellent original patina. The hinged lid missing. This would have been connected to the top flange hole(s).
