A fine quality early 19th century mahogany writing desk in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster and London. The writing surface inset with a green hide surface and surrounded by a three quarter gallery above a central apron drawer flanked a double drawer on each side and raised on reeded legs with original brass cups and castors and with a central arched kneehole to allow for comfortable sitting.
A smart and practical desk of very handsome small proportions.
