This stunning, fine and impressive antique opal pendant has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with a platinum setting.
The pierced decorated pendant features a stunning claw set 13.82ct elongated cabochon cut opal.
The lower portion of the opal setting is further embellished with a trefoil shaped mount ornamented with three pavé set transitional modern brilliant round diamonds.
The pendant suspends from a later 18'' 18ct white gold curb chain via a linear bale ornamented with three further diamonds, securing to the reverse with a spring-loaded lobster claw fastening.
This antique 1910''s pendant has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18ct gold and platinum.
