Antique Early Metalware 17thc Single Bronze Two Handled Mortar. English C1640-60.

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Mark Seabrook Antiques

A fine example of an early 17thc bronze two handled mortar, it has feint scratch marks cast into the body, which could be a makers mark, similar to the makers marks you find on bronze vessels made by John Sturton, Somerset and other makers...it is in very good condition with an excellent natural colour.

English. C1640-60.
