Antique Victorian Diamond Star Garnet Cabochon Ring 14ct Gold - C.1880

We are delighted to offer this gorgeous antique Victorian garnet cabochon and diamond star ring made c.1880.

This ring features a substantial garnet cabochon that has a wonderful curvature that not only has an impressive presence upon wearing but allows for the light to shine through. Additionally, a gold star set with old cut diamonds highlight the top section and present a celestial theme which was very popular and romanticised in the Victorian era.

The wonderful lustre ranges from a dark maroon/black to a red depending on the angle of the lighting. In low-light situations such as at late-night events, parties or even candlelight the garnet and diamond create a further unique and contrasted appearance that presents an aura of mystique and unparalleled elegance.
