Superb Antique Chippendale Revival Mahogany Bookcase by Waring & Gillows

Superb Antique Mahogany Astragal Glazed Bookcase of Chippendale Design by the esteemed Furniture Makers Warinh & Gillows and fully stamped on the inside drawer. dating from around 1919 it has a moulded cornice top with Greek Key moulded edge and carved frieze above two astragal glazed doors with three internal and fully adjustable shelves and with working key. The base with moulded edge above a long mahogany lined drawer with carved mouldings to each end and centre and with original brass handles. There are two doors with moulded panels and working key and with a single internal shelf. It has a gadrooned base to the edge and is raised on carved ogee bracket feet. The top removes from the base for ease of transporting. A superb quality Bookcase.
