A Simulated Rosewood, Regency Oak Bergere Library Chair C1825, Drop-in Seat

A superbly stylish Regency bergere of great proportions with excellent condition cane-work to the shaped back with curved top rail complimented with scrolled over top edge on down swept sides, culminating at carved and scrolled lapets. The chair stands well upon out swept sabre legs to the rear and straight octagonal-tapering front, terminating upon original brass castors.
 
The chair presents well, in excellent structural condition and elegant timeworn patina.

Presented in mostly excellent, original condition, sold as it is. We consider the chair to be in very good condition, not showroom condition as we feel it shows it’s age well evidence of use minimal wear.., a tiny 3-4mm split in rear section of side rail where it joins top rail which is due to atmospheric drying and not a structural defect, this is minimal and we may later decide to consign to the workshop for some minimal conservation and polish but otherwise ready t...
