Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
A fantastic 19th century revival of the gothic style.
The bench is heavily carved in the Green man gothic style and offers immense yet decorative storage, ideal for shoes in a hallway. The back consists of a 3 panel heavily carved back with the centre panel depicting an interior 17th C. scene of a knight and a lady flanked either side by carved knights with a floral background. The bench has floral accents throughout and features carved gargoyle arms on each end support, complete with a carved lower frieze. The seat base conceals a large and useful storage area.

The bench features its original waxed finish with its beautiful original lightly faded jacobean Oak colour with patina.
We have just carefully cleaned and waxed this item to preserve and protect the item whilst giving it a lustrous natural sheen.

Please note this item is in superb condition for its age but will have the odd blemish here and there, however, we feel that adds to the charm and heritage of the item with it being antique.
