A Superb Quality Late 18th Century, Georgian, Sheraton Period Pair Of Mahogany Side Chairs, Having Extremely Unusual And Very Attractive Vertical Ladder Backs With Fine Carved And Inlaid Decoration, Over Upholstered Stuffover Seats, Raised On Elegant Turned Tapering Legs With Inlaid Decoration.
This excellent quality pair of 18th century chairs absolutely scream sophistication, class and elegance. They are much better quality than 90% of similar looking pairs of chairs from this period and its clear that real thought and care has gone into both their design and the execution of their construction.
The inlaid decoration to the thin vertical ladders on the backs is a very unusual but welcome feature, as is the additional inlaid decoration which is found on the turned, tapering legs below.
They are absolutely perfect for many, many places around the home or office, far too many to list here in fact. But to mention just a few, we think they would be great in a bedroom, entrance hall or even on a landing. Its also worth bearing in mind that they are perectly functional as proper dining chairs.
As with all items which we offer for sale they have been inspected in our workshops by our highly skilled, trained antique furniture restorers, plus received a natural wax polish to ensure that they are ready for immediate placement within the home before being offered for sale.
