This superb Austrian cold painted bronze study depicts a fox stealthy prowling after some prey. He is in a lowered position to avoid being noticed, highly alert with one ear up and the other down listening to any sound. This very finely modelled bronze is equally well painted with lots of detail and variation of colour. It is displayed and mounted onto a carved green onyx plinth. The top of which shows a rocky ground with an old tree stump and the sides are flat and polished.
