A gorgeous antique Edwardian peridot pearl lavaliere pendant necklace fashioned in 15ct gold. The fabulous, open-work pendant is decorated with flowers and leaves and set with bright seed pearls and four natural green peridots, one in the centre, and three more dangling from droppers at the bottom.
Peridot is the birthstone of August and nicknamed the “evening emerald”. They’re considered a gem of the sun and a gift from mother nature with their natural lime-green colouring and inner light evoking the beauty of a sunny summer’s day, bringing joy and serenity to all who look upon it.
The pendant is in excellent condition and the green, white and gold hues evoke the beauty of summertime, or a meadow of green grass and white daises. It dates to the early 1900s and hangs from a fine 15ct gold chain.
