A rare brass fire cat or fireside plate stand of small proportions. Marked for maker William Tonks & Sons and dating to c1860-1880. Of solid construction and wonderful design.

The condition is good overall with only slight signs of age related wear. A couple of nicks to the central ball and slight rubbing to the makers mark.

Measures approx 19.5cm x 15.5cm.
