A fabulous quality mid 19th century Dutch walnut and marquetry inlaid bombe profile bureau profusely inlaid throughout. The graduated concave and convex oak lined drawers flanked by the boldly outset canted corners and flat sides contrasting with the complex front. The “fall” opens to reveal an *interior fitted with a “well” enabling access to the top drawer. The central mirror door with columns to either side that conceal “secret” compartments and with an arrangement of serpentine form drawers all marquetry inlaid still retaining their bright colours due to rarely seeing the light of day – on carved paw supports. Circa 1850 * The interior configuration has at some time in it’s life has been altered.
