A superb 18th century longcase clock by Thomas Jarvis London.
A stepped and moulded hood with arched glazed door flanked either side by turned pillars, housing the break arched brass dial with elegant design and ornate cast mounts and displaying the makers name Thomas Jarvis London (Thomas Jarvis was a respected clockmaker who worked in the 1750''s and died in 1778).
In working order, supplied with key/winder, pendulum and weights.
(The calendar wheel is currently not working, although this is fixable)
The long trunk boasts a beautiful coloured walnut, having a break arch hinged door with working lock and key and decorative carvings.
With a carved box base and plinth.
A beautiful piece, in very good condition.
