1937 Hallmarked Solid Silver Crocodile Skin Bound Glass Hip Flask James Dixon

1937 hallmarked silver and crocodile skin covered glass hip flask.
 
The skin is a good colour and in excellent condition.
 
Good size, it holds 4 fluid ounces 1/5 pint.
 
Made by James Dixon & Sons with the cap and cup both hallmarked in Sheffield with the date letter for 1937.
 
It comes with a cork lined bayonet cap and removable cup.
 
Height 4 5/8 inches 11.8 cm
 
Width 2 7/8 inches 7.3 cm
 
Depth 1 inch 2.5 cm.
 
The condition is excellent and the flask is liquid tight with no leakage.
 
The leather is also excellent with no tears or splits.
 
Surface marks to the cup and cap form age and use but nothing you wouldn''t expect to see on a flask this old. You can see in the pictures it''s in excellent condition.
 
It''s been cleaned and the cork has been replace to ensure it''s as hygienic as possible to use.
 
A lovely usable piece.
