An early 19thc turned urn shaped ash wood muffineer, that would have been used in the farmhouse / manor house kitchen, for sprinkling spices, sugar onto baked biscuits and cakes...it is of traditional form, with a ''thistle'' shaped finial and has an attractive colour, that you get with ''aged'' ash....it still retains the original hand painted red bands to its top, shoulder and foot as illustrated in the pictures...in excellent condition without cracks, chips or repairs....
