Fine quality pair of early 19th century French Empire period ‘Retour d’Egypte’ library busts. Beautifully cast iconic fire gilt ormolu pharaonic bronze heads with pineapple finials remounted on lovely figured stepped Portoro marble slab bases. Probably from a substainial good quality piece of Empire furniture. A rare and decorative good sized pair. Heads and finials circa 1810, bases probably Art Deco period.
