Antique Late 19th Century French Mahogany King Size Bed C1890

Super Antique Late 19th Century French Mahogany King Size Bed and dating from around 1890. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a moulded and shaped top rail to the headboard with deep scrollwork to each end and above two mahogany panels. The footboard also with deep moulded edge to the top rail with scroll work to each end and leading down to each side. This is above a cross banded deep frieze and with a large carved panel to the centre of the footboard of lyre and trumpet swags and flora. It is raised on short cabriole legs joined by a shaped frieze. It has its original drop in mahogany side rails and takes a standard king size ( 5ft) matress
