Beautiful 19th Century French Side Table, Ebonised & Marquetry Inlaid.

Description

Beautiful 19th Century French Ebonised & Marquetry Side Table, c1880 with ormolu mounts & with an inlaid walnut & fruitwood marquetry scene to the top. The marquetry scene depicts a shepherdess resting against a tree accompanied by her sheep & goats. Bold cabriole legs & two drawers with walnut linings. Good condition with all ormolu mounts present & no losses to the marquetry or inlays. Some fine horizontal hairlines to the ebonised polish & carcase to each side of the table (see photos) & single fine hairline to each drawer front (See photos) commensurate with age & design.

This table would make an excellent bedside table, lamp table or wine table.
