A Fabulous Early Victorian 3 Part Cut Glass Butter Dish

A fabulous cut glass butter dish from the start of the Victorian period. This gorgeous example is of rounded form, with stunning cutting to the body and lid and saucer. The base is cut with a multi-point star and there is extensive and matching cut decoration to all parts, featuring hobnails and strawberry diamonds. The lid is removed via a matching cut knop. These fine pieces are good collector's items and rather difficult to find, particularly with all three component parts intact. A good example both practical and decorative. Dimensions below.
