Description

A good large tankard made of Old Sheffield Plate. With a slightly rubbed mark for maker N Smith & Co of Sheffield dating to 1784. With a turned wooden base and with a false bottom to the interior. Visibly seamed inside.

In good condition with slight misshaping to the base. The handle has a small ding and some surface wear and slight copper bleed due to age and use.

Weight approx 543g.

Height approx 15cm

Base diameter approx 11.5cm
