Andrew Cox Antiques has dated this Victorian Silver Mounted Jug to the Victorian era.
The applied handle is of celery form and there is a large polished pontil to the base. The silver mount is hallmarked and has an elegant shaped pouring lip to the front. The lid is hinged and is finished with a delightful wirework fan style thumb grip to the top. A jug of these proportions lends itself to a variety of uses, making for a great gift idea and usable piece. Dimensions below.
