M Lees and Sons has dated this George IV Tea Table to the 19th Century.
Figured mahogany fold-over tea table with a rounded corner top , mounted on a central carved classical lyre support with brass ‘strings’ , taking it’s inspiration from the fashionable Grecian revival movement of this period.

The centre of the frieze carved with a tablet of stylised acanthus leaves .
The fold-over hinged top swivels when opened to create a stable surface .
In excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina to the dramatically figured mahogany .
