A stunning and rare 19th-century Victorian period large three-seater serpentine leather button-down brown Chesterfield sofa. It features the original brown leather hide that has been cleaned and polished, with horsehair padding, giving it a lovely soft and sumptuous feel. The sofa has a full button-down seat with a full button-down scroll back and armrests. It retains all of its original buttons and stands on hand turned mahogany front legs and mahogany splayed rear legs, all terminating on original period brass castors. This is a fine example of a high-quality Victorian Chesterfield with a good patina. England, circa 1880. The sofa seat height is 38cm.
