Antique Chinoiserie Table Lamp

1900 - 1920
Description

A good example of a Chinoiserie style table lamp dating from the early to mid 20th Century. It has been painted with an attractive chinoiserie design with gilded highlights on a black ground. It is made of wood with an elegant turned design on a round base.

It has been rewired to modern standards to take a standard bayonet bulb and is in working order with a valid PAT test.

The lamp is in good condition with some minor signs of age and wear and some small losses and wear to the paint in places but nothing detrimental. It is strong and sturdy and displays beautifully.

Approximate Measurements :

Height : 20" / 51cm

Width at base: 7” / 18cm
