We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the Edwardian era, silver bonbon dishes were crafted to serve small sweets, candied fruits, or nuts at dining tables and during afternoon tea, reflecting the refined entertaining customs of the period.

These pieces were commonly forged from sterling silver using repousse and chasing techniques to create raised scroll and foliate motifs with crimped or scalloped edges.

Authentic British Edwardian silver features official hallmark stamps, including the lion passant for sterling purity, an assay office symbol, a date letter from between 1901 and 1910, and a makers mark.

A pair of small silver dishes can be placed on a bedside table or dressing counter to hold jewellery, styled on a sideboard alongside coffee table books, or used in a hallway to hold keys.

Clean gently with a soft cloth using a specialized, non-abrasive silver polish, rinse thoroughly with warm soapy water, and dry completely to preserve the intricate chased details and lustre.
