Victorian Bronze & Stained Glass Hall Lantern

19th century
Description

A decorative Victorian bronzed antique hall lantern with pierced floral design to the frame finished with finials and a canopy top.

The rectangular shaped lantern retains its original stained glass and leaded panels which have ruby red glass, rippled amber glass, rippled clear glass and a bevelled clear glass centre. When lit up, the stained glass showcases its beautiful colours.

The lantern hangs on a 24 cm chain which can be removed and the light has been rewired and is in full working order. The glass panels are in excellent condition.

Height – 65 cm (25 ½ inches)

Width – 20 cm (8 inches)

Depth – 20 cm (8 inches)

Circa – 1890
