A George II period, red walnut, drop leaf gateleg dining table, Circa 1730. This quality table features a well figured, solid red walnut oval shaped top. Supported by substructure of ring turned supports, with twin gate legs of which swing out to support the drop-leaves. Matching stretchers. Raised on Braganza carved feet.
 
A handsome, high quality table, in good condition and ready for use.

This table measures approximately 69.25 cm (27.75'') tall, 120 cm (47.25'') wide leaves up, 47.75 cm (18.75'') wide leaves down, and 108 cm (42.5'') deep.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Some minor marks and blemishes. No loose joints. A little restoration work, with replacement undertop stretchers, and hinges. The feet are slightly later and applied. A few minor old extinct worm holes, typical of old walnut furniture, only visible in the substructure, and not affecting the structural sturdiness or the appearance. Now treated, by way of precaution. Good colour, patina and wax polish finish. Sensitively cleaned, waxed and now ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
