A mid C.19th, elm and ash framed, rush seated, Lancashire type, country carver armchair. This chair feature triple rows of turned spindles back, turned style uprights, open shaped arms with turned supports, over original rush woven seat, raised on rounded front legs with off-set pad feet, squared rear legs, all supported by stretchers.
An original and very charming old country carver. Cleaned, waxed, now very much ready for use.

This armchair measures approximately 104.5 cm (41'') tall, 61 cm (24'') wide, and 61 cm (21'') deep. The seat height is approximately 45 cm (17.75'').
Condition:
Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This armchair is in a good overall and original condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Some odd marks and blemishes. No loose joints. The original rush woven seat has wear to the front part of the rush weaving, but still remains sturdy and perfectly useable. Good colour, and wax polish, with a pleasing aged patina throughout. Sensitively cleaned, waxed, and now very much ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
