A long heavy duty solid mahogany shotgun case dating to around c.1840. It has a maker’s label attached inside “C. Playfair Gunmakers Aberdeen” Scotland. A couple of used/age-related marks adding character and patina to the case please refer to the images. Inside it has a newly lined green baize interior. A very cool collectible box capable of storing all manner of long objects. Comes with a working key.
