Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian glassware from the early 20th century typically features delicate wheel-etched or wheel-engraved motifs, including garlands, swags, and floral motifs on clear glass, reflecting a lighter aesthetic compared to Victorian glass.

These pieces were typically crafted from blown or pressed clear glass and decorated using copper-wheel engraving or acid-etching techniques to create intricate surface patterns, often finished with starburst bases and scalloped rims.

Authentic Edwardian pieces display detailed engraving or etching rather than heavy moulded surface designs, feature subtle age-appropriate wear on the underside rim, and exhibit high clarity with refined central cut features.

Display these pieces on a sideboard or console as decorative accent trays, or place them in plate display stands within a contemporary cabinet to highlight their delicate transparent patterns.

Wash glass plates by hand in lukewarm water using a mild detergent, avoiding automatic dishwashers which can cloud the glass or damage fine etched details, and dry thoroughly with a soft lint-free cloth.
