An c.18th, oak, tilt-top tripod supper table, dating from the third quarter of the c.18th, late George II, early George III period. Featuring a solid oak top. Supported by a baluster stem, raised on a tripod of carved cabriole legs. The top tilts by way of a hinged block, and secures with original trigger clasp.
A charming old country table, slightly reduced in height, in good condition and ready for use.

This table measures approximately 63 cm (25'') tall, and the top is 83.5 cm (33'') in diameter.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in a good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Some marks and blemishes. Reduced slightly in height, possibly 5 or 6 cm. The stem has some old natural aged splits, which have been filled. Good colour, patina, and wax polish. Cleaned and waxed polished.
