This is a handsome antique silver plated entree dish on stand by James Dixon & Sons. Their makers mark is stamped underneath. c.1870 British made. The stand has an oval pierced gallery where the original burner sits inside. This stands on four paw feet. The legs have a beaded decoration. Around are swags of flowers and leaves. The entree is bead mounted with a removable key. There is an armorial or crest engraved to the front. This has been resilvered.
