A wonderful small French silver gilt shell purse in its original leather case lined with silk and velvet. The purse is lined with the original silk which is in super condition and a great colour, no damage. The purse opens and closes very well with a push button. There is some slight wear to the silver gilt, but it is minimal and hard to see. Both sides are marked inside with the boars head guarantee mark and a makers mark in a lozenge. I think the makers mark is E hammer F but have not been able to trace it. The box was retailed in Frankfurt and is in good order, however it does not snap shut but I think with a small adjustment could be made to.
