Stunning Chisel Cast Austrian or German Neo-Classical Ormolu and Rosso Antico Marble Ink Stand of Museum Quality and generous proportions, by George Josef Burgstaller, Late Nineteenth Century.
Depicting an elegant classical seated Lady in period dress beside a drum shaped Inkwell, complete with its original well veined dark red marble, secured to an ormolu base.
Condition: Superb untouched condition with nice surface patination and very light evidence of use, original glass inkwell, some light staining to ormolu which give nice age patination. Marble is perfect with no losses anywhere. BURGSTALLER makers mark at back.
