Just a very nice glimpse of the past with this late 19thc / 20thc brass axle cap, that was screwed onto the end of an axle on a horse drawn cart....this fine example has the name of the maker John Curtis - Retford, which is in Nottinghamshire....it is in very nice condition, considering the use it has had...and has latterly been used as a desk paper-weight by the previous owner..,!
English. Late C19thc/ Early 20thc
