Victorian Undertakers Walking Stick Cane Silver Collar Ebony Shaft.
Has a pommel made of a polished obsidian sphere.
Typical of gentleman''s dress canes of the Victorian, Edwardian, 1920, 30''s and 40''s as well as canes used by undertakers of the same periods and earlier when dressed in full black.
The silver was assayed in Birmingham but as shown in the pictures this is very worn and indistinguishable.
Plain silver trumpet collar for the pommel sit into and an oversized ebony shaft which is a good weight and will support a large weight.
It measures 92 cm 36 1/4 inches in length, the pommel is 4.9 cm 1 15/16 inches wide.
The ferrule is original and made of cast brass and steel.
