Fine Quality Late Georgian Rosewood Wine Table/ Lamp Table by Miles & Edwards c.1835. An outstanding table with shaped & figured rosewood top, fluted, turned & beaded column & carved scrolling legs terminating in turned ball feet. Superb condition with no breaks or old repairs. Makers stamp underneath table top: Miles & Edwards, 134 Oxford St. London. 11415.

Miles & Edwards were renowned for their fine quality cabinet making & upholstery services & were flourishing between 1822-44 with their stock appearing in Directories in 1823 & 1835-1839. The firm had many prestigious patrons & many commissions for private country estates including Audley End at Saffron Walden, Essex as well as (its owner at the time), 3rd Lord Braybrookes, London House & his estate at Billingbear, Berkshire.
