Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
Exceptional decorative detail to the front of the dresser. The dot and diamond motif is typical of the market town of Talwrn on Anglesey, though used here in greater profusion than is commonly found. With rosewood and mahogany inlaid detail across the drawer fronts and frame, octagonal door panels within a moulded surround with parquetry mahogany fans at the corners, diamond shaped bone escutcheons. The brass knobs are good quality later replacements. Applied moulding along the bottom edge and bracket feet to the front. Deal panelled sides and rear. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
