A fine solid silver sweetmeat basket. Hallmarked for Newcastle and for maker John Langlands II (1793-1804). Bearing no date letter but dating to c1800. Very elegant piece with beautiful engraved detailing.

In good condition with one small 0.8cm split to one of the fluted seams.

Measures approx 16cm x 10cm.

Height approx 10cm.
