Victorian Solid Silver Tankard - William Hunter 1869

Description

A fine solid silver tankard hallmarked for London 1869 and for maker William Hunter. In a fitted hardbacked retailers box, embossed for 'Thomas Clarke Pilling Gibbons, October 1st 1868. Tankard is also engraved 'To TTP Gibbons from JMK October 1st 1868'. Beautifully decorated piece.

In good condition, the box has very slight signs of wear.

Weight (without box) approx 175g.

Height approx 11cm

Base diameter approx 7.5cm

Diameter at rim approx 7cm
