Description

A very impressive and large antique French gilt wood overmantel mirror, dating from around the 1880-1900 period.

This is of outstanding quality, it is extremely well made and is a fantastic size. The gilt wood finish has a gorgeous lustre and patina. The edges are panelled with lovely inset moulding, the top corners have beautifully carved rosettes and the base is ebonised solid wood.

The condition is excellent for its age, with just the right amount of patina and wear. There is some extremely minor spotting to the very lower edge of the mirror, not particularly noticeable in real life.
