A Victorian Period Burr Walnut Antique “Pop Up” Davenport

Description

A Victorian Period burr walnut antique “pop up” davenport. Of traditional davenport form with a piano front veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut with a pop up section with a pierced brass fretwork gallery, enclosing pigeon holes. The piano top opening to reveal an adjustable leather writing surface, pen tray and drawers. The right hand side having an panelled door enclosing four mahogany lined drawers with mahogany fronts and turned knobs. With carved cabriole supports, a plinth base, turned bun feet and concealed castors. English circa 1860, in super original condition, a lovely colour and patination

Dimensions: 36" high x 22" deep x 22" wide
